Family house garden Blatné

Family house garden Blatné

DESIGN OF THE OBJECT

A family house garden design in Blatné, applying packed crushed stone paths, to create the skeleton of the garden dividing it into individual functional units. Two concrete pavilions form a dominating feature, one of them, placed in a quieter, separate part of the exterior, serves as a workshop for meeting with clients. In the forecourt of this pavilion is a threshed area with a bench placed under a solitary tree. The second pavilion serves as a summer kitchen and grill, shaped like a simple prism mass covered by a gable roof. The entire exterior is divided into grids in a 5×5 m module, copying the existing terrain, slightly sloping towards the surrounding land. Packed crushed stone paths and areas are bordered by galvanized metal sheets, serving as curbs. The garden is divided according to its function into a herb garden, a vegetable garden with raised beds, a fruit garden with existing and newly added fruit trees and fruit bushes (according to clients requirements), keeping most of the existing plants in place. A small area by the main living terrace of the family house is fitted up by a low-cut lawn. The garden grids are diagonally crossed by a sidewalk with concrete paving, supplying the needs of a barrier-free access to the building. By the footpath, near the gate, there is a concrete bench – smoothly terminating in the leveling staircase. The design also includes subtle steel pergolas supporting greenery to serve as partial shading.
