Cabins in the woods Svätý Jur

Cabins in the woods Svätý Jur

DESIGN OF THE OBJECT

The design of two recreational cottages located in the town of Svätý Jur in its historically protected part is based on the client’s requirements and the binding regulations of the given part of the territory. The architecture of the cottages is chosen as the traditional appearance of vineyard houses, which are characteristic of the town and date back to the Renaissance period. The requirements of the client and the monument authority, which related to the color of the roofing, the height of the building, the shape of the roof and its slope, were taken into account in the proposal. The buildings are designed with a basement, one above-ground floor and a residential attic. From the back side, the roof of the buildings extends into the garden area, where there is a terrace and a space for wood storage. From the southern side, the cottages are glazed along their entire length for the greatest possible connection between the interior and the exterior, and at the same time provide a view of the town of Svätý Jur and the distant plains.
